About
What this is, and what it isn’t
TransferSignal is a personal, non-commercial project that aggregates publicly reported football transfer rumours and scores each one with a transparent, reproducible formula. It is a data-and-modelling demonstration, not a news outlet.
How a probability is made
A language model reads the prose of a report and structures it into fields — who, from where, to where, what stage. It never picks the number. The probability is then a deterministic weighted blend of source reliability, deal stage, corroboration, and squad fit, and every input is shown on each rumour’s page. It is an opinion-with-a-formula, not a measured frequency or a prediction you should rely on.
Where the data comes from
- — Squad and player data: Wikidata (CC0 public domain).
- — Market values, form and completed deals: the Transfermarkt-derived public dataset.
- — Rumours: headlines and short excerpts from public news feeds, each linked back to its source.
